David and I led a tour of Sebastian Inlet today. Got great looks at Woodstorks, gulls and more. If you didn't GOYB and join us, you missed an awesome time, including all this:
Woodstorks at dawn.
A particularly pretty mourning dove.
I found this egg. It was fully in tact, but abandoned. Not sure what the story is or even what kind of egg it was.
A Willet and his little gully friends.
This is a good comparison shot to show the differences in size of the shore birds.
It was a cold day. This Gulf Frittilary was warning his little self on the ground.
And last but not least, we stopped on the beach to film one of the interpretive dance videos for the Kidney Foundation fundraiser.
It was a great day outside, wish you were there! Be sure to watch the web site for upcoming outings. Remember that looking at cool pictures on the internet might be fun, but it's nothing compared to actually being out there!
